Obviously switch traction control off, sport setting......maybe run rear tire pressure a little lower but are you drag racers holding the revs at the light and dropping the hammer or rolling on the throttle. Going to be a cool night (high 50's/low 60's) so traction could be an issue. Appreciate any tips. Car is bone stock CLS55. I would also think keeping the suspension in comfort might help weight transfer?

Definitely keep it in comfort mode. I have read reviews where people actually even use the "raise suspension 3inches" feature when racing. As far as revs, I have found 1200rpm to be my sweet spot - Still do not mash the throttle because you will spin out. I would suggest practicing this today prior to trying it for the first time at the track. And get those tires warm! Let us know how you do.

Why not traction control? If you disable it...it's still applied unless you enter DYNO mode correct?

I haven't driven my new Mercedes yet but I have the Racelogic setup in my Nissan 300zxtt. I has launch control (set revs, dial in initial wheelspin) and adjustable traction control levels. Very handy.

Well although fun......it was not a success. Best time in 4 runs was a lame 13.2 at 107MPH. Traction could not be had for the first 1/3rd of the track. Was really chilly, best run was at 52 degrees......went down to 41 over the next 3 runs. Will head back once spring arrives and the track temps are up.

That mph is low. Especially for such cold temps.

Intercooler pump not working?

What was your 60' time?

Even with a horrible launch, a 107mph seems low.

60' times were HORRIBLE, I swear it was like there was trans fluid on the track.........both lanes. Run 1....2.063. Run 2.....2.592. Run 3......2.476 and run 4......2.674, LOL.....it's embarrassing. Once it would hook up (seemed like almost 1/8th mile)........it pulled like hell but it was way too late by then. There were 3 E55's there, all were having issues with traction but not as bad as me. I have to practice launching this pig.

One question.........under WOT I find my car rocks from side to side a little.....a bit unsettling. I thought it was due to the weight (I'm coming from a car 1000 lbs lighter) but I can't imagine it's normal Thoughts? Stock suspension, I was in comfort.
