Leaking windshield

So last night I am washing the car and after I am done I notice a small leak at the top of the windshield right above the passenger sun visor.

The question is since I don't have any cracks or scratches in my windshield what is it going to cost to have it resealed?

I know that insurance companies cover windshields but usually it is for damaged ones...

Do I use a company like Safelite or go to the dealer?

Mike

The dealer probably calls Safelite or somebody like them.

I was thinking that as well. Safelite wants 405.00 to replace the windshield as they don't reseal them...

Just wondering if they use OEM glass or not.

Hmm good info thx. Mine is going in for service tomorrow morning for the drivers door handle keyless go not working and I told them about the windshield leak. They said they would give me a quote on resealing it tomorrow. There are no cracks or chips just the small leak in the top of the passenger side. Hopefully it is not crazy expensive to do.

So the dealer says it will cost about 1600.00 installed for a new windshield...

LOL... Compared to Safelite at 405.00 that seems a bit excessive.

Might look at some other options. It only leaks when it is ran thru the car wash as it has rained a lot lately and doesn't seem to leak normally.
