I usually don't like the single fin grills on the earlier model cars in general but think it actually fits the W219 pretty well.

Where did everyone buy theirs from and which is the best quality?

Are all of the grills on eBay pretty much the same and a direct-fit replacement on a 2008 CLS63?

Are there any that fit properly don't have this big gap circled in red?

I don't remember which one i bought, but it has that same gap. A friend of mine bought one from another seller and has the same gap.

Seems like there is just one design that is identical being sold by tons of different people.

Is the mesh made out of plastic or metal?

Yea seems like it. The sides of the grill have gaps as well. The grill mesh is plastic.
