Need advice with arnott front right strut
Tomorrow, I'll be replacing a faulty CLS63 strut with a new Arnott AS-2787. The box came with instructions on modifying the existing air line, and refitting it with an Arnott brass fitting and coupler. However, the arnott package did not include these items. An arnot representative is claiming that this exercise is not required, and that the existing air line will connect exactly the same as the oem strut.
Does anyone have experience here? It's possible that the instructions that came in the box were dated and/or the arnott strut was evolved to not require the extra step. The air inlet looks similar but not identical to the oem strut.
I'd hate to damage anything...
