Rear Facing Infant Seat?

I just sold my SL65 due to my first child being due later this month. I'm considering a CLS55 as a replacement but I'm worried a rear facing car seat will not fit in the back well.

Anyone have any experience with a rear facing infant seat in the back of the CLS?

I searched and found some chatter that it fits comfortably as long as the front seat passenger isn't tall but then I found thread after thread saying the back seat is very tight.

Thanks!

Wow! That is a nice car. There is quite a bit of room, you may have to just try it.

I cannot specifically reference rear facing child seats, but we have a 7 year old and a 3 year old and they fit in the back without kicking the back of the front seats. My son (7 year old) uses a booster seat. My daughter (3 year old) uses the intermediate sized seat. We have no issues but we do move our seats forward. I am six foot and still have room with one of them behind me. I think it comes down to the type of car seat you have. I have seen some car seats with swivel bases which would make your life much easier, I would look into those.
