My center speaker just started rattling. I've found many posts for the E class on removal which I've replaced in my E class when I owned one, but absolutely can't find anything showing how to remove on the CLS55. I've searched, searched and searched but just can't get any solid removal pics or videos. I'm afraid of damaging the dash trying to attempt on my own and hoping to get some advice. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks everyone!
use a panel remover (plastic pry tool) and the whole thing just pulls out don't be afraid to pull it a bit, the sensor and speaker part come out all as one
Great info. I've just noticed the same rattling from the '07 CLS 65 that I just bought. Part number for this? Are you planning to replace with OEM or an aftermarket option?
Actually, I didn't even have to replace it. Turns out the glue came off around the speaker. Put some super glue around the speaker and works like a charm! BTW, no pry bar needed. As you'll see in the pictures, parktronic unit pulls right up then you can pull grill up with your fingers and won't damage your dash
