'08 W219 CLS63 AMG - LSD upgrade?
Hi all, looking for the OEM part number for my differential. Car does not have the p30 package with the llimited slip differential.
It's in the shop getting a Wavetrac LSD installed, (purchased by my MB mechanic from Weistec), but when I went to wavetrac's site, I couldn't find an LSD listed for my car, so now I'm a bit confused as to what LSD they are installing, and figured I'd do some reading up on it. Same on Weistec's site... nothing listed directly in the CLS page. Are there several cars using the same open diff I have?
Like me what are 185,190,210,215 axles? What does my car have? Thanks.

Thanks akshay, they did mention maybe needing to Dremel out the housing a bit before they ordered it.
What does that 210 number mean anyways? 210 what... mm? Teeth? Ratio? Area code? Lol
I've never upgraded a diff before, so this is all new to me.

I thought all AMGs came with an LSD, regardless of additional packages...
Damn - that seems petty not to have an LSD standard for AMG.

But yea, at 500 stock crank horse power you would think it'd be necessary. Mine now has 600 wheel... so I'm trying to tame it a bit.
Apparently the P30 limited slip was pretty clever, had some hydraulic lines running to it. Not a stock feature that can be added later. Had to be ordered on the build. But I can confirm on a car lift pre LSD, one wheel spins forward, one backwards.
Still don't know what 210 means :P

Well, it is an 08. Might be standard now?

Done and done .
It puts the power down waaaaay more controllably. Why I wonder did they decide an open diff was to be standard?
I'll hit the track soon, and report back with the results.
