airmatic problem 2007 CLS550 AMG
We had a air ride failure on our 2007 CLS 550 AMG. With the car running, I have no 12 volt power on the large heavy gage two wire connector plug going to the compressor pump. Shouldn't I have 12 volt there if the car suspension is down ? I have pressed the manual raise hight button, still no power. I changed the air ride relay, no change. I have checked fuses. Does anyone have a fuse diagram for the under hood fuse/relay panel on the drivers side rear of the engine compartment ? Any other ideas ?
thanks,
John

No, you won't have 12 volts all the time. I dealt with this for awhile on an S class. Best bet is locate the pump, usually under front bumper on the right side. Disconnect the wire and apply 12 volts to the heavier wired terminals. Pump should come on. If not, remove the pump and bench test it again. I've had a brand new one not run on the bench or in the car. Seems the motor wasn't strong enough to move the piston. It's usually the relay and the pump.
