I've been trying to reset the E service code after changing the filters. I'm trying a new set of K&N filters just for grins. On my car, I turn jet to first position, get temp displayed, press reset 3 times. It goes into the service mode I then have tried going to confirmation, enter, then cancel single. It then displays service 6,8,9,12. No letters. Also, earlier it had other number options. Did I accidentally clear those now? Another strange occurrence was it wasn't due for 7 days. But now it's displaying service past due 4,786 or so miles. WTH?
