CA Smog check with engine software Tune question

Hello,

I just purchased a CLS55 IT has a Race IQ tune. I dont have a check engine light. Will I be able to pass Smog check?

On the exhaust hardware. I have both primary and secondary cat on. upgraded resonator and muffler delete.

Error Code P0505, P0432, P0422

I cleared the code after I fixed an intake leak code P0505 - the 4 hose clamp between the SC and intake tank were loose. I tighten it to seal it.
Now reads 2 pending error code of P0432 P0422 but NO CEL as i mention before

Hey mate,

Those codes are most likely are because your tune is bad and the LTFTs (long term fuel trims) are having to adjust by a too great % to maintain a proper AFR. I recommend switching to Eurocharged for your tuning or you could try get raceIQ to adjust the maps but I never had any luck with this or the other problems their tunes caused me. You probably have a bad AFR at WoT because the assumptions made for your low throttle application base maps are likely just as off as as the assumptions made for your WOT maps. The 'good' news is the car is probably running rich so not damaging anything except maybe fouling up your plugs but hopefully not.

Smog tests I don't know much about since they don't exist here, but if your EGR, SAI and Cats are showing ready on the emissions readiness check (a check available over obd2 with the torque appI think its a pass along with visual inspection from what I've read on here?

I have a Eurocharged tune on my E63 (plus a resonator delete) and haven't had any issues passing smog with it installed in CA.

With no CEL I'd just go for it since you still have the cats installed. Play dumb if they ask any questions.

As long you have both CATs then you should be OK.

All the codes came back. I swap out all 4 o2 sensor. Now only the p0505 comes back. Smoke test and there are no leaks. I think it is the 83mm throttle body. . Going back to stock and see. Hope I dont have to pull the SC out to do this.
