Lightbulb Camber kit for the w219

Ok, I just need to know whats the prefered Camber kit for the w219. What brand.... I found out after the fact that the Arnott struts is what's used, and I bought DIY air struts. So I don't want to have to buy the camber kit twice... Any one knows..?

For front you can do the camber bolts in the main arm allows for ~0.45 adjustment plus and minus on each side (can do the same thing for caster). These are very cheap. Usually this is enough if your car isn't lowered too much.

If need more adjustments you can get adjustable bushes from kmac for the front. They do rears as well but people seem to rate adjustable arms instead.

For the rear you can get arms from UPD (Shardul is the guy who sells them on this forum if you want you can PM him he might give u a deal ) .Mbart do them as well i think they might be a bit more expensive though not sure. If doing the rear you want the adjustable toe links as well really help tighten up the rear end..

Thanks for the reply, I made the mistake of lowering the car with links and never got the alignment... That was my fault because I know better from past experience. I had a blow out in the rear from a cracked rim, being cracked in 2 places on the inside where the tire wear was. I'm not sure if the camber was involed in the cracking of the rim but I did notice the tire wear once I pulled the wheel off, in the front and rear... The wheel is discontinued so I'm 50/50 on weather I'm gonna get it repaired, or keep my factory wheels on... Do you have a link for the front and back camber kit you speak of? I've seen many different kind on eBay, but I wanted to get the kit that's for CLS's... I made that mistake with the air strut. Now I have to buy it again... I might switch to coil-overs, I'm sick of this...lol

Rode on the bead, didn't know it was flat until I stopped.

rear inside wear

inside wear front

1st crack

2nd crack

yeah, that's shut i think it more likely fault of rim than a couple of degrees of camber. I wouldn't go larger than 19s to maintain some sidewall...cracked rim might be because of the blow out?

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mercedes-suspension-eccentric-bolt-kit-0003300018 these the cheapest to get your camber in front reduced by like 0.45 degrees. here's a link to how you use em. do you know how bad your camber is? if they bad you probably gonna want kmac front kit but it costs couple hundred usd at least...I can find that for you later if need be

for the rear either mbart http://mbartsperformance.com/cls-class-mods.html (you have the w219 chasis) or if that too expensive you can get toe and camber arms off shardul who does them for like 600 or 700 i think email him at.. Shardul01@gmail.com

yeah might be worth going coilovers if my rear base pop i probably will...

Well, the funny thing is the tire never really blew out. I didn't know the tire was flat, and that was amazing because I had to drive 3-4 miles not knowing... I smelled rubber and I thought it was somebody else's car. I stopped to get some gas and I smelled still a little, but got back on the road and still smelled rubber. Once I realized I was on the road by myself, I said "damn, that must be my car" lol.... By then I was pulling into my garage. That's when I noticed the tire flat, but it didn't come off the rim and the out side looked fine, it was the inside that was eaten up by riding on it.... That was crazy, because that 305 was sorta stretched on my 11... Naw I wouldn't switch to 19, I've been riding super low profiles for almost 3 decades...lol My Chrysler 300 profile is even smaller, and I never had any problems. I might have bent a rim or 2 in 25+ years of doing custom wheels but that's never been a problem... My sig below, my 300 has a 275/25/24 on it... Plus living in Atlanta is night and day from when I lived in Detroit with their jacked up streets...lol The weird part is the rim should be destroyed as far as I drove on it, but the front/outside of the wheel looks normal. I think it was a defective rim. Nothing was found in the tire to make it go flat. Those tires were brand new with less then 5K on them. I don't think Vossen will warranty it because the rim is discontinued... I know several high end rim repair shops, one even offers a lifetime warranty on their work. I may try that, because from what I read, it's ok to fix if the cracks are on the inside towards the inside edge, but from the middle to the front would be dangerous fix... So I might try and have them repair it... Check out the inside and outside of this rim...lol The outside is unscaved....lol

I'd rather spend the money and everything will be right instead of trying to save money.... Let me check the links you posted... Thanks...

for the front camber and caster kit.

Yeah that sucks for the rims i guess a lifetime repair warranty would be pretty good 👍 I've bend and crack my stock rims so much I need some aftermarket 11s too

The weird thing is I didn't hit nothing. You would think that would be a warranty situation, but they no longer make the rim. I was thinking of going 12 with a 325/25 but that dream was shot down. Even changing to a new set, their aren't many wheels out there I like. If I do find a set, it's either not in my lug pattern, or the biggest rear size is 10. Vossen has a custom line of wheels where they make the wheel to your specs. They can put a super deep concave on a 8.5 rim when normally it's on a 11 or higher... I thought it would be sweet to have deep concave all the way around, but with the wheels starting at 1,800 per wheel, I changed my mind on that... lol

I am seriously thinking about going to coil-overs. I haven't done the research yet to see how much will it cost... The camber kits, I'm doing front and rear.. I didn't think I'd need it in the front because I'm not that low. Just fender to tire, no tuck but I can see the camber on the rear.... My dumb *** never got an alignment after putting on the lowering links... Can't blame nobody but myself for that... But some guys are saying based on my drop, I probably won't need a camber kit in the front, just in the rear and get an alignment. But we'll see... Do you have any coil-over info?

PieRat, what do you think about these 2 rear kits? Which would you get/recommend?

Is it true you can keep your camber the way it is (-1.5) as long as the toe is zero? There are so many people out here replacing tires every 6 months and some that refuse to get camber, kits,.Is this true, as long as the toe is set to zero?

Yes, I found them a while back, I was just trying to get feedback from somebody that's installed them and had rode on them for a while.... But nobody seems to have any kind of feed back....
