I just put new tires on the rear since I had a blowout and discovered the date codes were 2015. I hope I didn't make a mistake by going with a 285/35/19 as opposed to a 285/30/19. I wanted a little more meat on the sidewalls. will this discrepancy cause any issues with the transmission control unit? Or traction control?

Always check date codes indeed and make sure that you also look at the yellow and red dot on new tyres. Mount them properly and you will need less balancing weights. yellow dot should be as close to the valve stem as possible (picture from the rear of my Mini Cooper S R53)

Seat switch, including the memory buttons, is a seperate item under part number 211 821 79 79. New from MB is $140 MSRP while used are all over eBay as every 211 E Class uses those switches. There are YouTube vids on removing the door panel.

It does, nice work! I think I will leave them silver, as I will probably go back to silver wheels again (instead of black now). The only thing black on my car are the rear tinted windows, all chrome etc is left intact
The black/white them you have going on is awesome
