Air suspension issue
Brand new here, looking to purchase a c219 and found one with a malfunctioning air suspension issue. Car is being sold “as is” because of this, just wondering if it’s a simple/common issue and what I need to do to fix it. I have many years experience fixing air suspension on Lincoln’s so I feel like I could maybe tackle this with your guidance.
Furthermore, whichever c219 I decide to buy I would like to be able to run a lower stance and am wondering if the stock suspension allows for adjustments to height, and if not, has anyone created a way to do so? (For example, there is a guy on the Lincoln mark viii forums that makes circuit boards to splice Into the stock system with toggle switches for manual adjustment).
I noticed a recent thread by @Drifter2090 (am not able to message you directly for some reason) discussing arnott springs:
“The car also had Arnott replacement airmatic units on all 4 corners, they were very helpful and sent me a new front right dampening solenoid. Swapped it out very easily and now I have no more errors and the airmatic is adjustable again.” -this leads me to believe the stock system is adjustable but may need clarification.
also you discussed “lower links” on your daily, can you clarify that?
would love to hear what everyone here has done for their lower stance, whether it is custom bags/coils, stock stuff, combination. I’ll attach photos of some of my projects over the past couple years, also feel free to find my Instagram MADDMARKS.
This is the vehicle I may be interested in purchasing, would love to hear your input on what you think the suspension issue might be
Notched the frame on my 2014 Tahoe ppv, slammed specialty bags, viair dual compressors, lots of metal fab work,
‘98 collectors edition Lincoln mark viii, terminator swapped, 6 speed manual swapped, svt eaton supercharger, comp cams,

Mine is lowered using adjustable lowering links, which can be installed on the stock ride height adjusters as well.

-Recode lowering using MB STAR
-Lowering links
-Modules
-Coilover conversion
Its not hard to work on the air suspension, but it can be tedious at some times
