WOW!!! euro to us conversion price...
from the mb germany site, got a print out of the cls portfolio. its standard euro base price is 82,900. converts to 107,741 us. hope they cut the price when it gets here!

actually downloaded the e55 manual too and its is 77950 (it says euro but looks a lot like dollars. anyway, the difference is only $6,418 us. that would be MUCH easier to swallow.

Fortunately the European prices aren't all that aligned to U.S. prices due to different competition and various factors. My salesman said he thought the CLS would come in about $5000 higher than a comparable E55, which sounds about right. So I'm guessing about $85K for a typical CLS55 & close to $100K with every available option.

Not sure. All I know is on my current E55 and my ordered CLS55, I was asked to sign an agreement saying I would not export my car. Perhaps since you live out side the US, it does not apply to you.

Compared to the rest of europe, the cars in germany are cheap...the cars in the US are deadcheap...it is simply amazing to see how little has to be paid for every single US spec MB model compared to the ones in Europe (that don't even come with half as many options).

phew you lucky guys in U.S....here in Finland (north-europe) CLS55 with almost all options (no designo stuff) is about 250.000 usd 
. My E55 2003 was 165.000euros with almost all options, so thats about 200.000usd...

Hey there all, come to bubai you can buy the car for much cheaper, or a better solution is buy it direclty form the factory. Thats what every one dose here, and you can recalim your VAT for the car as well, Imnot sure n how it works in Europe but the price here is high but not as high because her eindubai we have no taxes and no income tax.
