Oil temp cls63
Here goes the back story... I have a 2008 cls63 that I basically use just for trips since I live in los angeles and can't use it as a daily driver. In summer I had water problems from broken plastics that required me to change radiator then thermostat housing. I then took a trip across country but had problems on the highway with the hoses popping out of radiator since the clips on new radiator were wider than those from the original and I had a hard time getting them to stay seated... I must have bought 10 or 12 gallons of coolant along the way. I got home and replaced the wide clips with the originals from the stock radiator (thank God I didn't throw it out). But since the car ran into heat issues im now more paranoid than I usually am....
... so now, this weekend, im in Las Vegas. On the drive up from Los Angeles, there was very little traffic so I was able to keep moving. I did about 75mph the entire trip. I kept my eye on oil temp and it maintained about 103, until I got within about an hour of Vegas. Then I noticed it got all the way up to 107c. Car made it, no water or oil problems.... but today my wife wanted to go shopping so as we drove I kept an eye on oil temps. It got up to 113c. Im in full panic mode. We got to the garage at Nordstrom and I checked for leaks. Can't find anything. Checked oil level and its full and clean (changed oil friday).
Can someone save my life and let me know if 113c is within normal range for stop and go driving? I can only find forums discussing c63 and e63 and since they don't even say the same thing it has me worried. Anyone else noticed anything and either had a problem or confirm that im just a worrier?
