You can now pull up the specification details on MBUSA web site.

Under chassie page, it is showing 19" wheels with out saying they are optional, therefore must be standard size on US cars.
Only pricing shown is frt at $720

2006 CLS55 AMG
A few other observations. Sunroof standard, Compared to a E55 the rear headroom is 1.6" less, the rear leg room is .6" less, the rear shoulder room is is .1" less and the cargo capacity is .1 cu ft less. However, the cabin capacity is 7.1 cu ft more, the front leg room is .2" more.
Hand finished Matte Burl Walnut wood trim is standard (High polish Laurelwood optional at no additonal charge.
Foot note says console and cupholder design subject to change during the year 2006 production.
Service interval will be 10,000 miles due to need to change high performance fleece oil filter. First visit between 1,000 and 3,000 free

They won't allow us to build our own just yet but site does say "Please enter your email address to be notified when you can build your

When I ordered my CLS55 (which I haven't decided if I'm gonna go through with it or get a used CL55) a few weeks ago........the 19's are standard in the US, with the 18's being optional.

iam also thinking about getting a used CL55, but i put a $1000 deposit for the CLS55 and will make up my mind when the CLS500 comes out in a few weeks.
