Cls63 Amg?

I am new to the forum.
Sold my 2003 E55 in October because the CLS was coming. I would really like to get a good information about the 6.3 V8 engine...is this a reality? On a Marketing stand point, I find it hard to believe that MB would launch this CLS55 now and come out with something new even just a year later.....

I have had a deposit on a CLS AMG since March of 2004. My dealer will give me a CLS55 pretty soon if I want one. I am reluctant to end up with the same engine as my previous car (great engine). I do want to have the latest and most powerful coming out of AMG....

I don't do well in reselling my cars (too impatient perhaps) so I do not want to take a beating If a CLS 63 comes out even end of 2006....If it is a 65 v12 then we are talking $180K....In my opinion, buying a $100K-$120K car is a different league than $180K...

Anyway, I go to Europe 3-4 times a year (was at the Paris auto show talking to AMG folks) I will do my best to bring hopefully accurate information to this forum....

Hope somebody will have reliable info soon..In the mean time, I am going to delay my delivery of the CLS55 probably until fall...just for the purpose of finding out....

Mercedes-Benz is moving away from Kompressor motors on probably all AMG vehicles. They are also moving to 4-valve motors, instead of the current 3-valve. There's no official word on what's replacing the current 5.5L Kompressor motor, but it may be a 6.3L Bi-Turbo V8 or just a normally aspirated big block something rather (unlikely if it's to compete with RS6, M5, etc.). Don't look for a replacement to CLS55 anytime soon.

So far, it seems it's a reality but the car won't be out until 2007.

Thanks for the response. I am hoping they might do this for the MY 2007. Hopefully that means late 2006....
