Gosh this sounds elementary...but before I go popping pieces off my wife's car, I want to be certain I'm headed in the right direction. I want to install puddle lights on the sideview mirrors. I've looked at a dozen different Youtube videos but none seem exactly like what I'm seeing. Any pointers? I'm assuming we don't have a huge institutional knowledge base to work from, but perhaps a different model uses the same sideview mirrors and replacement would be similar? TIA

 

Did you not have the OEM ones? The cover just pops off. Just exercise some patience with it. If I recall it slides outward (away from car) and to the rear. (Note the signal light in the mirror connected point is fixed so when you slide the cover off the connecter disconnects).

What are the lights you have installed inside the door handles? Did you do that yourself and can you share a link?

I think they could be a factory option. I just bought a 2019 and it has these lights.
