Marketability....??
Got a friend who wants to trade me his 04 C32 with all the goodies for my M3 Cab. I really would like to sell the M3, as I've got another convertible too (he wants a ragtop). But wondering about the reality of getting out of the C32..neat car, but a really limited marketplace. Any thoughts? I'm thinking this 04 with 11k miles, nav, xenons, etc., is about $40k. Am I on target, or will I have this thing for a while? Thanks for your help...

Not much point to do it for performance improvement unless the below are significant to you:
- for sake of more comfort for your baby and grandnmothers with 4 doors and much roomy backseats
- want to go back to a hardtop better safety for the family
- not important any more to be handsome and young looking on M3 Cab
Same question, E46 right ? If not, change it.
cnt
p.s. not a doubt a saloon is more marketable than a convertible, as it is more practical to a larger auidence

Yeah, but,
although I like the C32, and am a long time Star geek (third generation), the customer seems more limited on the C32. I think it really takes a special person to know the difference, as the c AMG (whatever engine) don't have lots of street cred, except among those who know. Takes a special guy to sign up for a 40k used car the size of an Accord...Am I about right on the $$$, about 40k give or take a little?
BTW, yes, is an e46, SMG, 19's...

On the flip side of this thread... A used C32 can be quite a gem in the rough as whenever you decide to sell it, there will really be NO competition to worry about. If someone in your area wants to buy a used C32, chances are he/she is going to buy yours. I live in the Chicago area and there are practically NO C32s for sale anywhere and am yet to see a used C55.
There are a lot of people in the market for a used Honda Accord, but then again there are zillions of folks out there who are selling them. Therefore you must compete with all of those cars for sale.
