I am sorry about what happened, hope you are not injured.
From what I see in the photos, it seems only one wheel is crashed, the body seems to be fine?

Unhappy

Thanx for the concern guys. I'm fine, just a bit shook up. Story goes I was driving to fast on the 405 in O.C. took on interchange ramp with a long angled curve at about 95mph car started to slide twards the k rail walls and I hit the bottom lip of the wall and as you can see tore up they wheels and tires. The body has minor damage but, when I got it to the body shop they put some spares on to roll it in and the rear tire was tweeked at a pretty messed up angle. I'm curios that if this is a unibody car could that affect the frame. I don't know much about auto repair, but I don't think my baby will ever be the same again.
Maybe its time for a C55 or maybe a slower car.

Glad your OK...the rim looks like aluminum foil the way it is crumpled up like that...insurance covering the rim, tire, and bodywork?

You must be Joking
Our local speed limit on highway is average 70kmh , I found it poretty hard to maintain my car below that when I am supposed to be on 'highway'.

That is true. A fast car will go slow if it want it to, but a slow car won't go fast if you want it to.

Crashing sucks, I've gone through it twice. 2nd time was real serious.
Good luck man.

AWD is even worse at taking corners. AWD would induce understeer, from the sound of the story is what happened. RWD is the best handling platform out there. WHy do you think all the GT Porsches are RWD? Also AWD adds alot more uneeded weight. TO defend the 911 Turbo though, i do believe it uses a smart awd system that can shift power from AWD to front majority, to rear majority.

That's pretty ballsy, 95mph sweeper on stock suspension!!! Get this man a F1. In a car that could do it, he's got the nerve to sustain those speeds.

Hope everything works out for you, but this car is most likely going to be limping around on factory camber bolts "crash bolts" for the remainder of it's years. If you get it back and it's all tossed up, get the unibody laser aligned and call Potomac German Auto dot COM and they'll get a full rear subframe and all suspension components for a decent price, but I doubt the insurance company would go that far to get her riding straight. We've seen cars totalled for less, no?

EDIT: I don't understand how this happens to so many of us. I drive like a complete freak, no issues with hanging at 130mph for a decent clip down the HWY, and my ONE accident, some drunk clipped my front end of my old Jeep, ran away, and the passenger jumped in the drivers seat for the cops and claimed I rolled through the stop sign. Not to jinx myself, but I've never had an accident like this.

If he did that he would understeer right into the wall! Unless you are hard on the gas the 996 TT plows worse than a stock C32. I still love the 996 and would own on in a heart beat.

Just need to learn to be slowish in and really fast out of each corenr.

Just got to drive the car the way it was designed.

I agree but I think a good insurance company will pay to get the car straight again. A subframe is cheap. Its about 3k to re-do the whole rear end. As long as the monting points are ok and the frame is true the car is fine and good as new after being fixed. If that were my car I would get all new links up front with a new subframe and then the same in the rear. That will get the car back on the road free of needed camber correction bolts. But he should have those installed anyhow. These W203's need camber like a 55k motor needs gas! 2 degrees is what you need for street use and maybe 3-4 at the track! Camber bolts should be installed on every W203 if you ask me

I cant understand how a high speed sweeper could be that bad. I would have to go look at the interchange to understand. I know some of those in the OC have large changes in elevation as you go from surface to surface and that can really upset the car. At the track you can drive like a fool and ESP will never let you crash. I just try to make the car up-set and it never is an issue but the road has a zero margin of error I guess. After driving a C32 on race tire at the track in a driving rain I have a new respect for ESP and its ability to keep the sunny side up!

hehe- It's the labor that'll get you. I can't tell you how many MBs around here are doing the crab... I think it is that most insurance company's dump you to Hairy Harry's Autobody and won't put up for the dealer to do the work.

That bad... 95mph, stock suspension... My car couldn't do it stock. It's a very different story now though. ESP, I am starting to think that the system on the AMGs is very different than mine. ESP has saved my *** a couple times, once in the snow, I was amazed. But disabled at the dash for auto-x, I've spun the coupe a couple times, and on track was able to lock up the front tires and slide a bit under acceleration out of tighter turns...

I am glad he's ok though, this could've ended very differently!
