Sounds ok, just make sure that you have a phone that fits the CL and that it doesnt have cheap seats.

Or, you could a used E55K for the same price. . .

Or, you could get a used S55K for another $10K or so (this would be my choice)

The CL's look nice, but they seem a little contradictory (very heavy, yet very small inside). My nextdoor neighbor had a 500, and hated it. My recollection is that, if you move the front seats back far enough for a six footer to be comfortable, the rear seat passengers have about 3" of legroom (akin to the rear seat room in a Lexus SC430 or a 911). If you are short, the driver's side rear passenger will be O.K., but if you have a tall front-seat passenger the car becomes a "three seater." Also, it is much easier to access the rear seat with doors back there!

If you don't carry many passengers, and the CL styling floats your boat, then go for it! However, since you mentioned passenger room as being important, you might want to rethink this one. Maybe grab a couple of good-sized buddies and take them for a test drive?

Just go to the wine country, opal mines and beaches. The rest is more or less the same. If you look really hard you can probably find that small art galleries are the way to go.

www.pamelagriffith.com <--- probably the best person to speak to about art.

Melbourne and Sydney have most of the noise and expensive restuarants.

www.wotif.com <---- accomodation

You can also overnight from Sydney by ferry to Tasmania. Make sure you look into that.

Depends on whether you like themes or just want to visit for fun. A week in the South Island of New Zealand would be highly advisable.
