Has Anybody seen the Black Birdseye Maple wood Trim with charcoal interior? Any opinions? Also, anybody have experience with long term Wear & Dirt with the Ash Interior. Thanks!

I own a Black Birdseye Maple with Charcoal Interior C55. It is absolutely beautiful. It is the same color combo that I had in my w208 clk430. I think it really steps up the luxuriousness of the interior. To me, the C32 never had that luxury interior I look for with the textured plastic/aluminum. That is one of the reasons I passed on it when they first came out. As far as ash interior, I have heard bad things about dirt showing up, also you should get ash carpet with that, which can be a real nightmare come winter time. Good luck and have fun.

I believe Black Birdseye Maple is also referred to as Dark Maple. I ran into this when I ordered my car. The order form the dealer gave me to fill out calls it Birdseye and the computer system they input the info in labels it as Dark Maple as well as the dealer window sticker.

What is ash ?
I have mine with aluminium trims, everyone loves the interior of my C55. Most SLK and CLK Cab have alu trims because it is more sporty whether you like it or not. I did not choose , I just took what they have. If I did have a chocie, I will still pick the alu because my ex-W210 was also a dark maple :p
