Sunroof cover flies open...

I have an 05 C55, stock. When I gun it, the sunroof cover slides back about an inch or so. Anyone else have this happen?

Question

What are you guys talking about ? Why I never experienced this? was it because I never pushed my car hard enough? Or was it because something wrong with the locks of the sunroof of you guys ? I am puzzled, please enlighten me . Cheers

I think they are talking about the sunroof cover not the actual sunroof glass itself.

It always happens to me too. I'm always reaching up to slide it closed. Also, I have pens and stuff in the 'slot' below the radio (no Nav), and when I punch it they fly right past me into the back seat. It's cool to see them hit passengers in the legs!!

Funny I never close mine unless I'm parked. I tried it this morning and sure enough it slid. I can almost see the new performance specs now 0-60 4.9 seconds, 0-60 sunroof cover slid 8.75 inches.... Tonight I'm going to see if it will slide closed under hard braking!

Sound like your car is not making the proper amount of power. You should go to your dealership and complain about it.

I'm down for a little compitition, Lets say whoever can get it open all the way without touching it, gets some free wheels from Neal, hehe

My cover slid so far back I had to remove the headliner to retreive it (I had my car in Dyno Mode). Where can I pick up my wheels??
