Unhappy My C55 Almost finished

Today, I was on a narrrow road driving at under 40kmh; perhaps I was turning a corner with the steering wheel angle oversteering; and the road was very slippy with oil. I guess my front wheels were dead locked and could not steer anymore even I tried left and right. The tires had started to scream, and my wife started to scream! Finally, I held the steering wheel tight and used heavy braking.
And, lucky that all quiet down and there was no car in front of me.
The puzzle is why ESP did not work under slow speed?

I think what happened is that the ESP assumes that any speed as low as 40km/h is safe. Besides, you said the road was slippy with oil --> I don't think any tech available at this time can help you out in that situation though.

Yes I think so. I noticed the road was oily and a little wet. Lucky it did not spin - the traffic on the oppsite lane was very crowded.
The real lucky thing was my car did not smash into the pedestrians path which they were only about 6 foot away from the road.

Years ago, my 325i was total because it was under 50kmh oversteered at cornering and the car spinned and then smashed. The road was as oily with moist/water on. That time, my 325i did not have any computer controlled safety.

I guess ESP is pretty good as I could finally stop the car by heavy braking ...

Did you see me down Gloucester Road ? Amy be I was goin to the Wes Tunnel. What time was that? Ws that a weekday or weekend?

When recall back about yesterday, the way I was steering was FOOKING AWFUL. Yes. I was stupid. However, I did not delibrately turn faster than the direction wheels, but perhaps the degree of circular was overdone. I was too relax cause I was very steady slow. And then, I had forgotten my own rule of thumb; that I should never relax on damn moist and humid oily roads in HK during Spring time. Every year, March and April had more accidents. And, I crashed my 325i 10 years ago because of wheel lcoked and was after a 360 degree spin 3 times
Yesterday , a good lesson (again) reminded me to alert during this kind of humid weather ; our roads are too oily because of aged mini buses and buses.
I am glad now. Because I could have run into the pedestrian path if my foot was on the accel. pedal; and then lucky the braking worked under the situation. ( the braking did not work in my 325i accident )

The damn road is Robsinson Road when I was going kind of slightly down hill , which I had not driven there for a long time.

cheers
cnt
