Hey guys we know that the formymercedes grilles are great, any comments from owners of his c55 replica spoiler or the roof spoiler? please let me know, going to buy a spoiler tomorrow.

Several forum members, including FrankW and MJ50 have the replica spoilers from formymercedes and from what I've heard, they are quality products.

I do. they're great! no complains except I didn't tape'em right cuz i mis-aligned it when I put it on. :cry:

I have one. The price is great, but I should have got the factory part. The fitment is 95%. My ends have a 1/8" gap. You get what you pay for.

You mean the spoiler doesn't go all the way to the edges of the trunk? If I'm not mistaken, I don't think the factory spoiler goes all the way to the trunk edges either. I got the OEM accessory spoiler and mine is the same way... close enough I guess.

i gots mine, looks fine, would have fit fine if i had used the 50/50 mix, i didnt get it flush on the left side, so most of the tape on the back of teh car isnt sticking

Doesn't matter much, just make sure you get it sealed professionally instead of relying on the double sided tape.

Blake, are you saying that I should have the thing drilled into the car? or done by pros with the tape?

I'm saying that if you just try to put it on yourself, the double sided tape will likely fail in the long run. You're better off taking it to a shop who can add some additional sealant (like silicone, epoxy, etc.) to ensure that thing is going to stay put. That's what I did at least.

i found some silicone at autzone, they had a few diff kinds, clear, blue and black, no sure of the differencs, they said rtv gaskets on front of tube.

should i still use doublesided tape on perimeter and put the silicon in middle, or just all silicone so it sits flush with car

The shop that did mine used the doublesided tape, as well as silicone around the edges to make sure it was sealed well. See pictures below.

Hey guys thanks a lot for the valuable information, just put in an order for roof spoiler, trunk spoiler. Also went with the expression grille, i know you eat it on the price but i just fell in love with the look of it. Damn all of you that posted so many pictures of the expression grille.

expression from performance products. I think it was around 535 for the grille.
