ah, didnt think of that. now i remember that little ic, front mounted low like an oil cooler. i wonder why the 1.8 has a more efficient air-to-air ic than the air-to-water in the c/slk32s?

We are working a number of products for M271 1.8L engines.
that makes sense to me, the stock blower is a really small unit, there is a guy over on mercedesshop that installed one on his m103.

i am sure that if a warranty issue arose, evosport would work with you on that... again built into the cost. keep in mind that this is all relatively low volume, i dont think any economies of scale can be reached at this level.

My guess on the reason AMG went with air-to-water IC on C32 has to do with packaging. With a "V" configuration, the middle can be used for an IC.

Yes, so why don't you make us a air-to-water upgrade and a SC upgrade. Package it as a EvoIII bundle, and people will buy it. I would. It may even stop me from selling my car.

Tom: I am assuming you are refering to 230K.

The problem is cost, to design a custom fit air-to-water intercooler system will easily be over $3000 retail, to adapt a bigger and better Lysholm kompresoor will be over $4000. Add labor and there are very few 230K owners willing to spend this kind of money on their cars.

As my posts would be technically off-topic, I've PM'd you Vadim. Feel free to email me at nukblazi@comcast.net if you have time to discuss.
