Question C32 Offset question - repost

hi guys, I posted this on the tire forum also, but i figure it's regarding a C32, you guys might know also, so here i am, I have a 02 C32 with the stock 17" AMG rims. I wanted to upgrade to 18", and after some research, I am thinking of going to 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear, all Falken 512s. I guess the tires and size should be ok, but when selecting rims, I get confused. I am thinking of getting an AMG Replica, but the size is 18 x 8 (no other choice) and offset is 30, will it fit the car? I am not sure when using 18" or even stock, what the offset is... and since I am using staggered setup, can i use 18 x 8 all around, as the 05 C55 has 18x7.5 and 18x8.5. thanks for all the help..

You can't have a staggered setup with 8" wide rims all around. Staggered means you have wider rims in the rear. The offset refers to the distance between the edge of the inside of the wheel (at the rim) and where the wheel meets the hub. Don't worry about the offset, if the wheel is made for Merc you're okay. You can always use hub centric spacers if you want the wheel to stick out farther. I would highly suggest using a wider wheel, at least 8.5 inches wide...
