Very nice!
YEP!! I WAS IN LIMBO W/ THE 448S OR THE COMPETITION C21(SIMILAR DESIGN: MULTI-SPOKE), BUT THE C21 HAD SOME DEVELOPMENT PROBS/DELAYED AVAILABILITY, SO 1. DIDN'T WANT TO WAIT, 2.DIDN'T WANT TO CHANCE PRODUCT QUALITY (E.G. 1ST YEAR MODEL VEHICLES)

PRIOR TO THE INSTALL, I'VE BEEN QUOTED, "5-6 HRS", "LEAVE IT ALL DAY W/ US"..BLAH BLAH BLAH, BUT THE SHOP I WENT W/ HAD A TECH WHO USE TO WORK FOR DAZZ MOTORSPRTS(LATRELL SPREWELL) AND D2 TECHNIK AND IT TOOK HIM ONY 2.5 HRS!!! THIS GUY HAS 15 YRS EXPERIENCE, AND HE'S INSTALLED BILSTEINS NUMEROUS TIMES, SO THIS WAS LIKE 2ND NATURE TO HIM

SO FAR...OMG!!! I ALWAYS THOUGHT THEY WERE OVERRATED, AND WHAT ALL THE HYPE WAS ABOUT? NOW I KNOW WHY...CUZ THEY ARE THE ISH!!! I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHEN THEY FULLY BREAK-IN WHEN I CAN SET IT A LIL STIFFER...IT'S LIKE A 4DR M3, BUT THE RIDE IMO IS MORE COMFORTABLE DEPENDING ON THE SETTING, THEY RUN AT OR ABOUT $2K, DEPENDING WHO YOU GET THEM FROM, I FIGURE SPEND THE EXTRA $400-500, COMPARED TO SOMETHING CHEAPER, I'M NOT GONNA CHANGE SUSPENSION LIKE I DO TIRES, SO GO W/ THE BEST AND DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME...

Thanks!
NOPE, I JUST GOT THE PAINTED REFLECTORS FROM EVO SPORT, SUSPENSION AND WHEELS: AT A LOCAL SHOP (PM ME FOR INFO), THE HARD-WIRE I DID IT MYSELF....LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT ME TO HELP YOU DO YOURS, IF IT'S AN ESCORT.

DITTO! IT'S MORE INCOGNEITO, I LOVE IT WHEN I SEE PEOPLE WALK AROUND MY CAR TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IT IS :p

IT CAME W/ THE CAR...YOURS DIDN'T?? :p J/K, I HAD A PREDISPOSTION ON HOW I WAS GONNA SET-UP MY CAR BEFORE I GOT IT, AND ONE WAS TO PUT A V8 BADGE ON THE FENDERS...IT LOOKED TOO PLAIN W/O ANYTHING, CUZ ON AMG BENZ' THESE DAYS I'M ACCUSTOMED TO SEEIN A SIDE BADGING OF SOME SORT, SO I FIGURE TO PUT THE V8, SINCE I DO HAVE ONE, I PRICED IT W/ THE PARTS DEPT. BEFOREHAND AND THEY RUN $100 FOR BOTH SIDES, AND YES YOU HAVE TO ORDER THE FULL V8 KOMPRESSOR ONE FROM THE E55, AND JUST USE THE V8 PART, THAT'S UNTIL YOU PUT THE KLEEMAN BLOWER ON IT THAN YOU CAN PUT ON THE REST , I CLOSED MY DEAL BY TELLIN THE SALESMAN TO THROW IN THE BADGING AND I PUT IT ON MYSELF, TOOK ME FOREVER TO MAKE SURE IT WAS ALIGNED RIGHT!! CUZ I'M **** LIKE THAT :p

THE DEFAULT HEIGHT SETTING THAT BILSTIEN SET WAS PERFECT FOR *ME* UP FRONT, NO GAP, AND THE REAR SLIGHT TIRE TUCK, BUT I HAD THE TECH RAISE IT UP .5", TO NOT TUCK, CUZ ONCE IT SETTLES, IT WILL TUCK SLIGHTLY.., RIDE IS GREAT, OBVIOUSLY NOT AS SMOOTH AS STOCK, BUT STIFFER IN A GOOD WAY

I thought that was just a road rally trick to avoid damage to the shock/strut body? That's the main difference between the PSS-9 and KW V2. KW is no inverted and has an external resevior in the rear.
DUNNO WHAT YOU SAID IS GREEK TO ME

IN DUE TIME ONCE MY CAR IS CLEANED AND DETAILED I'LL TAKE MORE DIFFERENT ANGLED/BIGGER SHOTS....I ONLY TOOK ONE CUZ IT WAS RIGHT AFTER INSTALL AND DIRTY, I DIDN'T WANT TO WASH IT CUZ IT WAS RAINING

I'll have to second everything said about the pss9. I've had them on the car for a couple months now, and they are amazing. I have full dyno's on shocks and springs if anyone is interested i can scan them in.

ride is good, especially here where I live in Pothole city USA (detroit michigan).

I have yet to rub, or have them bottom out on me, which is rare in this area.

On the track they really help the c55, the car is much more responsive and stable, the understeer has also been helped, but the sheer loads it can take now are impressive.

I am running about the same set up for height and thus far they have been fine.

look for my pics and running commentary as we push this setup across country next week (in the cannonball thread)

Sorry for the lo res pics but the full res versions are too big (thanks to fred-voit photo for the use)
