How much?

I'm only going to do the Supercharger, Headers, and ECU Tuning.[/QUOTE]

Could you tell us how much these three mods will cost installed?

Nice. The thought of that kind of power in the little C class is pretty exciting. I'd probably be conservative and go the E55 route and have a warranty and insurance covering the amount of money that I had in the car. I'd be really curious to see how these S/C's C55s compare with the E55's from a roll.

To put the 55S8 in the same league as the DB9 and 612 would be an insult—to which one we're not really sure

And,,,from today..all C55 owners who are going to sell their cars. Make sure you will mark up the price of C55 by at least 15%. The Klee mod for C55 is going to rock the history of all MB models aftermarkets mods.
3.8 seconds - never thought I could afford a car with this performance
:p :p

'little C class' - that must be a compliment. :p

The ECU will be taken care off when you put on the S/C and that will run about $17,000
The headers are an additional $4,400
I did not go the headers way, I did the NOS instead (more power for less dollar)
and with the exhaust and resgonators off the car sounds mean enough!

I've taken it up to around 140 with no problem with the nos off.
With the NOS on the car is sick. It goes from 60 - 140 in no time...
Just make sure there is othing infront off you and that you have the upgraded brembos to help you stop.

The supercharger and intercooler sit right on top of the engine underneath the air box...
you can't see much unless you take the airbox out!
I'll try to get some images up for you.

I'll let you know, i haven't found one guy that will run with me. I have just as much power and less weight.
I promise to keep the nos off. I don't think I will need it. Should be fun!

Cars and boats!
Benny.... you sir have got the SICKEST W203 on the planet!!

BTW, with the nitrous, how did Meridian set it up for you? Do you spray at wide open throttle or via a little red button? Is it wet or dry? Where are you spraying to?

RENNTtech C55
thank you.
they set it up so that it only sparys at full throttle (kickdown) at the pedal. I did not want a button. I wanted both hands on the wheel when the power comes. (no fast and the furious movie...)
the tank is in the trunk. even with the tank open the sytem will not allow the nos to spray unless I turn it on (I have a button under the steering column)
It sprays into the intercooler. I never asked but I am almost sure it is dry.
I've only had the nos in for a week so I am still playing with it. The only problem is that I am waiting for Renntech to fix the air box issue.

one other thing...

who cares about driving a stock E55? whats the fun in that? having a car that every other guy drives... What about being unique? (sort of 1 of a kind)
as for insuarnce I was able to get over 50% of the work covered by my insuarnce. (There are ways)
and as for warranty - if I was worried about warranty I would not have done any of this. besides, everything I did is bolt on, it can always be reversed...

thats teh way to think !!!

BTW, does it keep spraying through teh shifts or do you have some kinda window box to shut it off at a certain RPM and reactivate it after it shifts?

anyways... i am dying to see what your car can do at the drag strip on s/c and nitrous!!! Please post times :v

Don't get me wrong, I think your set up is a hotter car than a stock E55. I was just saying that you're braver than I'd be for the reasons I mentioned. Enjoy it and let us know if you do run any E55s.

When ppl comparing 55NA+K with 55 AMG kompressor.
I'd like to share a few experience.
(1)55NA use MAF which is way better than map sensor used by AMG kompressor in idle quality.
Driving downtown, you 'll benefit the idle quality.
(2)Kleemann manage the S/C whistle better than AMG,too.
(3)The complete AMG 55k has much better resale value than aftermarket +K , take the s/c out before you sell it.
Check the tuner if they'll buy back the used S/C.
How much is the depreciation of S/C itself ?
(4)Stick to tuner's setup, the 55NA +k is reliable, not much concern regarding the warranty.

Too many battles happened here,NA+K vs AMG kompressor

AMG rules in the long run !
because you need to stick on tuner's setup for warranty.
AMG V8K is easy to upgrade another 130 ps,too.
Yes, you can beat stock AMG V8K.

You would think, wouldn't you... for 15-20k we can turn our C55's into a supercar eating beasts, while not comprimising the ride and/or luxorious aspect we all have come to know and love about mercedes. That is just unreal! I plan on sending it over to Kleemann here in the next month or so. After this upgrade, there is absolutely NO WAY I will not be selling my car. I intend on paying off the remainder of the loan balance, and keeping it until the "wheels fall off". Which actually brings up another question. How long/how many miles do you guys think it'll run without any major problems? Taking into account "preventative/scheduled" maintenance of course.

you raised a very good point here. Perhaps the C32 owners will tell how reliable the W203 with AMG engine. I guess getting to know a reliable and skilled maint.shop plus keeping you 55S8 as a "second car" would ensure you only drive it for trips with proper roads and weather condition.
Friend of mine always (only) buy Porshce Twin Turbo two generations back. He drives it only at weekends and never drive more than 5 km :p on a day. We think he is crazy but this is perhaps the way to keep a supercar in perfect condition. When your car goes 01-100 in 3.8s ; it is no longer a day2day street car anymore :p

Nice car!

It wasn't long ago that I think the C55 KS8 conversion was around $30K and I was seriously considering it too. To think that Renntech can achieve 3.8sec to 60 for $17K is very tempting.

Actually no, I have to come back down to reality and still keep saving my money for my house. I hate being responsible! No fun!

The only mod I plan to do to mine is to replace the Rosso tires to PS2 when the car reaches 15000km. Since I don't race and average speed is 90km/h ,fast ave. speed is 130km/h ;

wonder any one knows if my stock rosso can be durable and stay in good performance for 20000km ?

Have we seen a trend that more & more W210/W208 55AMG cars get supercharged and kick *** of AMG V8K
in cost saving & reliable ways ?
the aftermarket S/C business went hot by the reason.

What's the concern left behind ?
Ppl hesitate to have more power ? I'm kidding.
W210/W208 55 engines are too new to tune with ? no.
Ppl prefer buying AMG V8K to cost effective NA+K project ? Sort of,but why ?
