About breakin, some are believers and some are not. I am a believer based on my 30 years MB repair shop friend experience.
I give 90% satisfaction rating to my C55 now at 11000km, 8 months; the finest balanced in terms of handling, power , comfort - a machine for life.
All the best of luck to your new C55.

In terms of reliability, this baby failed me. ( read my other thread )
Therefore, my next car will not be the W204 , especially all RHD W203
are made in SA; so as it will be for the W204.
I am seriously tkinking to shift to a German made Mercedes;
may be W211 after its facelift.
