i think you guys are trippin about evosport tryin to help us out. alot of the times, going direct doesn't mean its cheaper. rather, the manufactuer wants to sell to wholesale company. you guys can try to ask qualife now how much they want to charge and how much shipp/tax/duties will be. regardless, evosport is tryin to do a good thing here, and i dont think you guys should bash like that.

Supposedly, Quaife makes the best LSD. Is the group buy price $1600 if at least 15 people put down a deposit? If so, that's a substantial savings compared to $2500+ from other vendors.

Thanks Silva!

LOL - it is amazing to me how people get things twisted.

But Carvin ALWAYS has something to interject negatively when we are involved, and it is always from his annon. alias. I just know he does a search daily for "evosport" and comments on every thread. Seems like there are better things to do with yoru time, but oh well! I certainly don't have time to reply to each and every post he makes!

Thanks
Brad

Good Day brad it as normal is nice to read your post.

If you want to insult me in the forum I will post freely about you -- but I will only address the topic at hand instead of insulting you directly.
You sent me a nice little PM and for some reason you are so scared of me that you think i have an "annon alis." Would you feel better with my address and contact info? You are right brad i chose to not give out my personal info. Hard to imagine huh?

You are trying to profit on a PRIVATE PARTY GROUP BUY. If you are so out of your mind that you cant see that I can not help you. People started a group buy without you and your families company. I think its best seen in that Vadim said he would buy a diff in the group buy. Then you edited his post, used your power to change what he said and started a group buy where evosprot was the company doing the purchasing. Did anyone ask you to do this? No. Were you or your families company involved at all? No.
In business brad you take risks. The risk here is that you mihgt not be able to sell the 30 diffs and you might not make your projected profits. But thats called risk and business and profits are directly tied to risk. If tuners did not assume risk when designing parts we would have NO parts for sale. Your actions were neither honest nor respectful. I can not skin this cat in any other way. Its pretty much fact.

If you want to post about me directly brad expect a response. You are totally wrong and I dont spend that much time at this site because I see a serious conflict of interest when the forum is owned by a private tuner and they are the people moderating the site. There are some very good members here and I have met a great deal of them and developed many good friendships.

Have a good holiday brad.

Gang, got some good info from Quaife North America.

Here is the latest:

Quaife will produce, as a standard production part, 210mm diffs for 2.82 and 3.27 ring and pinions. 210 mm diffs came in C32s, C55s, CLK55s, E55, S55s, CL55s, and CLS55s. Possibly SL55s, not confirmed at this time.

First units will be available in January. We are going to work with Quaife to confirm fitment and that the diff will also work with 3.06 gears that come with C32s and C55s.

Pricing will be available in December. To place your self on priority list please call Mike in sales at 714.901.3100. There is no obligation to buy to be on the list.

Thanks,
Brad

And I'm assuming some of the above are still interchangeable with C230Ks? .

Carvin, this is the one and only reply on this, as it is not productive to the common good of the board. I will only say that as always your posts lack fact and show a bias.

We started this Quaife thing almost 2 years ago, and we are the tuner Quaife mentioned. So, think what you want and continue to spread your untruths, but we have been and are involved in this thing. Quaife does not sell direct, customers MUST go through a dealer (and we are one).

BTW, posting under an alias and hiding your true identity is not a way to build credibility. That is just the way it is. If you are not willing to put your name behind your words, then the value of those words is severely diminished.

And yes, you did get a PM. As you had violated the TOU, you were put on probation. So of course you are bitter, but that did not stop you from begging to come back. If you really don't like it here, you are more then welcome to leave.

Thanks
Brad

Mig888: Unfortunatly - no. C230K uses smaller diff. You would need C32s, differential housing and axles in order to make it work. My guess eventually there will be enough demand to make one.

Its pretty much fact.
Carvin: Dude, your ignorance just never sees to amaze me. Before claiming something as a fact check your facts and reread the posts.

We have been working with Quaife for over ten years on a number of different cars. We talked to them about doing MB diffs since summer of 2002 at least ten times, trying to make it happen.

Here is a link to that post:

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ghlight=Quaife

Here is a quote from that post:

"1. We are talking with Quaife about making ATB differential. I will post more details later."

Current production of diffs for MB has nothing to do with any group buy. The group buy never happened, it needed 30 and count stopped at 13.

The diffs are being made for Chrysler 300Cs and Dodge Chargers. Which are based on W210 chassis and share big diffs with us. Lucky for us.

So now go spill your hating somewhere else.

SLK32? Is the diff on the C32 different from the SLK32?

Geez! Look, this is a sponsored board. If you want to do a private group buy that is competetive with the sponsors and they don't like it, what the f*ck is the big problem in doing it over at www.bnzsport.com instead?

Based on previous interest in a Quaife for an E55 from another tuner, and repeated requests from others, including myself, for a unit for the C32, Quaife has decided to produce a batch of LSD's for the 210 axle cars. It just so happens that the C32 in most cases has the same rear end as the E Class cars. I was informed by Quaife last week of this news and the tentative availability of the units come January. Pricing is not yet determined, but it should be in line with other marque offering as Quaife is planning on producing a large run of 30 units or more. Many of the interested forum members have been aware of this privately and are patiently awaiting Quaife's production. This is not a Tuner buy, but a business decision direct from Quaife North America which will hold stock of the entire run of units. Contact me if you have any further quesitons.

SteveL: From MB manual it appears to be the case. R170 chassis have 198 mm ring gear. Once we get a hold of first units we will have to confirm.

SmgC32:

210 axle cars
210 actually refers to ring size - 210 mm, not W210 chassis.

I thought I heard that for the AMG model they used "the V8" diff. Guess we'll see.

SteveL: Here are pages from MB WIS. Hopefully they are wrong. As you can see MB uses 3-4 different diffs in the same chassis depending on the engine.

Thanks Vadim. Looks like I'll have to cling to the slim hope that they are wrong. Will you be able to determine fitment when units are available?

M5, Model S, E350, M3, M635CSi...
I don't often have time to look at this forum (getting an MBA is hectic) but I'm glad to see that this LSD thread is getting somewhere. Nicole and I are still dealing with wheelspin at the track on her C32. I'll be interested to see how these Quaife's work on C32s. Her dad also had an sl55 that is need of an LSD.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

So assuming that WIS is correct what all would need to be done to make the Quafie work with the SLK32?

Car warranty should not be affected.

A new, different diff will need to be made. Bigger, 210 mm housing most likely will not fit under the R170.

Vadim, can you comment on the status of the Quiafe LSD?

Could you give further details on your custom Evosport 40% lock LSD advertised on your web site for $4,495.00 that is available to all V6 W203's?
