This car does not look like Lexus to me at all..
It has a wide body..
I can't wait.

If the cl204 was coming I was considering trading in my 2002 for the C350 coupe. No sedan thanks.

"The CLE range will fit into the Merc line-up between the curvy CL and elegant CLK classes, giving the Germanic automaker a total of five different coupes."

That's the most uber b4st4rd child I've ever seen that's for sure!
Furthermore, the new S & CL will not have the sensotronic brakes found on the SL, E & CLS which makes me feel the CLS would have been a different car had Cordes been more involved. Don't get me wrong, I basically agree with everything he's doing and am happy that he is focusing on quality but what are the odds that he is going to introduce yet another model (CLE)?
MB has more pressing problems, they need to make sure quality improves, which I believe it is, increase profits and they desperately need to clean up the E-classes image. Personally I think an early facelift is in order.
Hopefully they will introduce the the CLE & at the same time move the CLK slightly up market. Just my 2 cents.

190 or bust
This is why I still have a feeling that the CLE is still a E-Class based 2-door coupe over the 4-door CLS (also E-class based )
If it were a C-based , then a CLE55 or a CLE63 with 7G will definitely be my next upgrade. I would not touch any other MBs without FR drive , 7G , 4-Valve and don't want anything heavier than a C55.

Umm....this is neither a W204 nor a W212. I am very confused. If this car is based on the next C platform, does that mean it will be positioned between a C and a E?
And do you guys know the CLS was originally called CLE???

I actually forgot all about that, but your right.
Now if the CLS is between the E and S and this so called CLE would slot between the C and E, i dunno, it just seems like WAY to many cars.
