02 vs 03 C32?

I am currently looking for a C32. I have noticed that 03's bring a significant amount more than 02 cars do. Is there any reason for this? Are there significant differences between the cars? (what are they?)

Manheim auctions lists 02 30000mi cars going for about 30k wholesale. 03 cars are about $35k.

What gives?

Thanks for your input.
Matt

Minor changes. Spare tire (versus compressor in 2002), mainly

you are talking about the Bixenon headlights. they came as an option, not standard, on 2003 models available from Mercedes factory. on 2002 there was no such bixenon option. 2002's only offered xenons as an option, which does not change the headlight housing to clear as bixenon on optional 2003+ does. however, you can have the bixenons retrofitted to 2002 cars, as i and many have done.

2003's if i'm not mistaken have a different aircon-cluster? maybe that's 2004's and up. also, i'm not sure if 2003's have the faux-carbon b-pillar? one small benefit the 2003 has (or late model 2002') is the engine plaque with the amg-technician's sign on it. i thought later model c32's tended to dyno a tad higher, but i am not so sure anymore. each car varies, and i think i might have been jumping to conclusions? not sure.

i don't think that the model changes alone are worth the extra money. however you may want to consider the extra year of warranty, plus not being the first year car, and also a newer car would generally tend to show fewer miles...
