IPOD for the C-Class
OK everyone im, i haven't seen anyone post this yet... so i thought i might as well do it. I was the dealership getting my complimentry car wash last week and decided to take a walk... While walking i asked a salesperson about the IPOD intergration and when it was available. Beginning august the intergration kit will be available to order thru the parts department. they couldn't give me an accurate price because they don't know if installation is part of the msrp... i believe that was 399.99. ANyway just wanted to let you all know.... Oh one last thing... it's available for both command on audio 20 systems...

the kit comes with an adapter harness that goes in between of the current wiring and headunit...a control unit...a cable that connects to the ipod...a manual
The kit doesn't use the existing AUX in - so that won't affect the price...

Steve, how does one select the ipod kit from the stereo? Do you press and hold the CDC button? Does it disable the AUX Input? Also, how much installation is required? Do you need to use stardiag? Thanks!

the Ipod integration kit uses the AUX in...so the headunit has to be set to AUX mode...the headunit itself will ONLY display AUX and the ipod information will be displayed in the instrument cluster...the ipod can only be controlled from the steering wheel buttons - NOT from the headunit.

So is this a simple plug and play install? Or do you need to hook up the car to the StarDiag computer and perform a firmware upgrade/update? Thanks!

He said it WILL ONLY display on the cluster on the driver side IT WILL NOT appear on the headunit.
Steve you need to come to the LA area. I need this INSTALL AND KIT !!!
