Messed up dyno
OK this is what happened.. last Saturday was dyno day and I had my car on the list. I followed all the instructions and put my car in dyno mode and surely I got these 3 massages cycling over each other, ESP off, BAS off and ABS off. So I was definitely in dyno mode.
As the car ran in third gear, everyone started to smell a burning rubber, but we decided to keep going. The first run I got 236 hp..
Something was wrong.
We turned the car off completely, removed the key, and let it sit for a few minutes.
Now the second run we tried to disable dyno mode and turned the ESP off manually. The same thing happened again.. everyone started to smell the same burning rubber again, but this time it also came with smokes from the rear tires. Definitely the brakes. The guy called it off and no more run for my car.
Has anyone ever had the same problem ? Is there a special procedure that I didn’t follow ? Thanks for your time and feedback.
