I always powerbrake and load the torque converter at the track... on street tires I pull off 1.9 60ft times consistantly on a mildly ok track prep!! Its a matter of finding the sweet spot and controlling your wheel spin. Your 2.2 60ft time means that your either launching too hard or too soft.
yeah, i know you've said that a few times, i still cannot get it to lauch better that way then not powerbraking.

Dragon: What we found worked best on C32, was slightly powerbraking to 1000 rpm and releasing the brake pedal at the same time as smoothly flooring gas pedal. This technique kept our 60ft time in 2.0 range.
Generally, every 0.1 sec reduction in 60 ft. time will show up in ET reduction.
The key is to find what works the best for the particular tire, tire pressure, weather and track surface conditions.

Not that it accounts for the original poster's time but I think all cars of the same year, make and model have some inherent variation. Some have more HP and and some have less. Within some given tolerance, this would be normal acceptable manufacturing deviations. Of course we all hope we get the 'hot one'.

the reason for powerbraking is to get the engine into the powerband before the car starts rolling. similar to rev'n the engine b4 u drop the clutch for manuals. it is the balance of finding the right traction with the right amount of power without stalling the engine, or in an automatic's case, stalling the torque converter, that is most difficult.

Dragon: Go to Silver State Motorsports.
http://www.silverstatemotorsports.com/home.htm
They are in Vegas. Ask for Mike.
Tell him you from Vadim.
He will take care of you.
They have a Dynojet.
Your C55 should be in high 290s on RWHP.
Good Luck!

Kleemann mods should put you at over 450 RWHP / 490 RWHTQ.
Have fun!

Now it is quite clear that I didn't run a 14.2 because my car is producing a lack of power, but rather the conditions (elevation, heat, tire pressure, not turning off ESP, etc.) Thanks for recommending Silver State, I feel much better about my car and plan to go through with the Kleemann mods.
Wow! Sweet #'s indeed! Sounds like you have one of the "hot" C55's! I'd like to see what mine dynos at someday.
When you decide to mod it via Kleeman, will you attempt the NOS setup like BennyZ (even though his is Renntech)? He said it's a big money saver. I don't know how you feel about a big can of NOS in your trunk though. Keep us posted.

Here's a couple of the dyno-charts from this mornings run at SilverStateMotoring. Why they elected to use a 4200RPM to redline data sample, who knows (perhaps their inexperience in working with MB's... this was a total Ford/Chevy place). I was in a hurry to get back to work, so I didn't question it. I'll have much better dyno graphs after it gets back from Kleemann.
