Took delivery today of my '05 C55 Black/Black with lighting, premium and NAV. Pictures attached. Well while I was checking out the Nav system I did something stupid. I hit eject so the display would fold down. I hit eject so the display would return to normal. I never ejected the DVD. Well now the NAV is no longer working. I get the following error:
Cannot read DVD. Please check DVD. (See picture 5 for error)
I have checked the DVD and there are no noticeable scratches on it. I have ejected the DVD, reinserted the DVD, turned off the system, turned on the system, turned off the car, turned on the car. Name a combination above I have tried it. System still can not read the DVD. Funny thing is I hear an audible clicking as the system tries to read the DVD. I even hear the audible clicking coming from the head unit even with the car off and the key removed from the ignition.
Anyone else as unfortunate as me to experience this or see this before?
Luckily it was going to the shop on Monday for the IPOD install. What a F******* nightmare this has been 1) trying to get the car 2) The car comes with a $2000 broken NAV system.

Forget about the Navi anyways, it sucks so bad; not worth it.

Did your sales guy go over the features of the car with you before you took delivery? If so, was the Nav working then? The dealership should fix it but I know how you feel...I get impatient myself when new things don't work the way they should.

Thank guys. I "hope" its just a bad DVD. That would be the best case scenario. Unless they give me sh*t that it is not covered under waranty.

What dealer are you going through? I live right down the road from you. Been dealing with the Annapolis dealer just because I know people there, but damn its far away...
