just got new rear tires...
well my car is 14,000 miles deep and i needed new rear tires, i got the old ones down to the cords. Anyways thought i would let you guys know that i got two new pirellis same as that came with the car, and cost 600 out the door. and took a few days to get the tires in. Apparently these tires aren't too easy to get ahold of.... I went to Just Tires, and they did a good job. It's soooo nice to have traction again...

i didn't take pics of the old ones... and the new ones there is no need to because if you own a C55 you know what the tires new already look like. I wrote this because, it gives someone an idea of what to expect on prices and availablilty, and possible wear trends...

Thanks for this info as I'm just over 11K miles today and was wondering what to expect when the time came to replace my tires. I've heard other C55 owners going with I think Michelin vs. Pirellis.

I'm surprised that you got 14K out of your stock Pirellis. Are the C55 stock Pirellis the Rossos? I had them on the back of my C32, and they wore out like they were made of soft clay (roughly 7K from new to trash). I have the Toyos now, and have abused the crap out of them for 10K without noticeable wear on the rears.
