And I thought a flat 6 Carrera plug change was an issue; C32 wins hands down.

Those motherin' plug wires should be damned to hell for eternity. Had to use a 17mm combo wrench and acrobatic digit strength to get those off. I was to chicken to put on the Magnecor wires for fear of dealer branding me a "modder". Now I know why the plug change is so long. MB uses Iridium plugs as standard. Going one range hotter (as in the 320) should keep those puppies glowing well. Not running extra boost via pulley or extra timing via ECU, so it is of no consequence. Fun motor to work with.

Yes, I also have fond memories of the rear plug on each side. Nasty task.

Did you mean colder?

Going hotter will cause missfires.

I'm running IK16s which is stock for the C320 and one stop hotter than the C32's IK20s. I think some others are running IK16s here with increased trap times and no problems.

The hotter ones. I think that they are the 16s. I remember some people using the 20s saying they were not happy with them, but I have been very happy with the 16s."

Cool, man. I noticed a smoother idle with the plug change and no misfire codes via code reader. Thanks for the inspiration to build another 12 second car.

Hey Vadim,

Evosport endorses and sells the IK16s (#5303).

'Denso - Spark Plug - Iridium - IK16 - Stock #5303 (Recommended for: All 2000+ Mercedes V6/V8)"

These are cool to use, right? TIA.
