C55 foglight replacement DIY
I'm not goin into great detail here but rest assured that your foglights will never fall out of your car.
Remove the assembly form the front through the grille opening by hooking the edges of the mesh grille covers and gently tug it out.
Remove the torque screw on the lower right of the light housing. Its attached to a small aluminum tab attatched to the fascia.
Remove the two bolts (vertically behind and to the left and right of the light assembly) that hold the black mounting bracket onto the car and pull the entire assembly out through the grille opening. You may want to remove the fasteners and pull back the plastic covering underneath the car for easier access to these two screws but you can do it through the grille opening only.
Unplug the light at the pigtail, break the zip tie on the dust boot ( you will need a new one to re-secure the dust boot) and remove the dust boot and unplug the two electrical connectors at the back of the light assembly, black on bottom red on top.
Remove the three remaining torque screws on the aluminum mounting plate attached to the black mounting bracket and remove the assembly.
Reverse to reassemble.
