Regardless of the body, you are talking about two different drives, two very different cars. What do you want? Sport? or Plush? Sound? or Quiet?
Do you want mass produced?
Do you want limited production?
Just because there are aesthetic similarities doesn't necessarily mean similar character.
If you can afford either, then drive both and see which one fits better for you.
I have repeated this story a few times already. My friend drives a 325xi
and his wife and him are in the back seat and I am going about 80mph in the C55 and he goes, "what's that noise"? I ask him, "what noise"? He goes, "that hum"? I tell him that "hum is the engine purring along. You want to hear that great sound!" He looked at me like I was crazy. I am sure he thought, "why would you pay all that money for a noisy car?"
He probably likes Lincoln Continentals, probably not, too big, but you get the idea.
Different strokes for different folks. Try them both and your family too and then decide what you like.
