Typical stupid salesman
So we went up to the local dealer so I could show my wife any C class there so she can get a feel for the interior dimensions of the C55 we have on order....
We are also shopping for a new SUV, so after turning away 10 vultures, I said why not, lets take a ML350 out.....
This guy was so full of it, it was hilarious. He didnt know how anything worked, what dials did what, or how to work the new fancy stalk to put the car in gear. So after about 10 minutes, I'm just reeling off questions to see how stupid his reponses would be. Here's 30 seconds of our conversation:
Me: "So we've been shopping around, what's the 0-60 on this thing?"
Sales Dummy: "Umm, oh yeah, very good, very competitive, not sure the exact figure"
Me: "Give me a ballpark, what does the literature say?"
Sales Dummy: "Oh, its under 5 seconds, I think it's 4.8"
Even my wife busted out laughing and she doesnt know much about cars, but knows enough to know that reponse was ridiculous. I mean seriously, this was a relatively young guy. He thinks an ML350, or hell, any mom-mobile, does 0-60 in less than 5 seconds????
Where do they find these people?!

i was test driving an SL55 and the guy was going on about how it beats Porsches new CGT and how it beats the Enzo. i shat my pants. those guys know NOTHING about cars. its insane. after i was laughing so very hard.
