W203s W209s time to sell your cars!!
The new 2007/8 Mercedes are a bit ugly, look too much like Japanese cars, with a touch of Jaguar styling thrown in.
Most of the new BMWs don't look too good either.
Even the Japanese cars are starting to get the uglies, just look at the new Camry.
1. W203 is bread and butter of MB; and the E90 is already better than W203 in many many ways. Go and test drive a E90 and you know what I mean. Has MB ever lost to BMW ? The answer is no, MB will win. So W204 is going to be another big hit.
2. MB quality degradation in recent years will improve in new models
3. W204 AMG will compete with M3 E90 ; so I presume C55/63 W204 will get 400+ hp and a 7Gtronic in order to compete with M3's 410hp and SMGIII(8 gears!!).
A good example is who gives a damn with E500/E55 now why not a CLS
cnt
2. MB quality will improve in new models? Do you work for DCX and do you know what kind of problems they're facing right now?
3. The AMG cars and the M cars are totally different in philosophy...how do they go against eachother?
I really don't know what's so great about a E90 either...I tried the coupe 335i and it drove like my old M3...what are the improvements on the E90 that's so great?
Direction of AMG and M cars are disappointing.
For an automatic, the Mercedes makes more sense.
BMW - manual
Mercedes - automatic
Audi - sometimes manual (RS4, 2007), sometimes automatic(RS6, 2003)
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Good day! That was an old post of mine you digged out.
I almost forgot I had given so much bull**** to this thread. Anyway, it is nice to be back.Yes, all seems pretty disappointing...and the funnest thing is, if I start counting the brands of cars which I love to buy and can afford one , it is less than five fingers
!
I'm disappointed in the direction that Mercedes, BMW, and Audi ALL seem to be going in right now: heavy and fat. WTF is going on? My car is already waaaay overweight. Can you imagine how much quicker a C32 would be with 200 less pounds? An E55 with the same?

BTW, just read C&D, the 335i was tested a 4.9s 0-100. Can someone confirm this is true? It is much faster than C55's 5.2s.
