Angry Need Solution for hitting front Spolier

Ok, anybody else go over the top of a parking stop and then rip the front spoiler coming off? This is an expensive little mistake and a real pain in the...

I'm more careful now but still worry about getting to close. Other than buying an SUV, does anyone have a recommendation for my C55? I have looked over the internet for some sort of electronic devise, skid pads, etc. and can't find anything. Seems like with all the sports cars with low front spoilers I can't be the only moron who can't guage distances.

I'm the other moron who ripped out the front bumper before from a re-bar protruding from the parking stop. Now I only back up into parking spots.

I use my side-view mirror as a reference. Assuming that the parking stops are all in a straight line, (double check this while you are starting to pull into the space) as soon as the parking stop in the parking space to your left begins to appear under your side-view mirror, STOP! Park.

Parktonics work and should alert you if you are getting too close to an object either in front of your or behind.

I always overcompensate and stop far in advance to avoid this. It makes me nervous to let anyone else (family members, especially wife) drive the car because I know that nobody is as careful as me!

What a *****. Had the CLK less than a week an I ripped the bumper cover off on a parking block. 2 hotties on the sidewalk couldn't stop laughing.

I used to drive a 4X4 truck and didn't worry about pulling in too far.
