That's exactly how I would get it, black/black. Actually, I may start looking for one....if you know of any and you are going to pass, please let me know where and how much.

Will let you know..
I haven't seen too many nice ones for sale. I want a coupe and those seem harder to find lately.

And for the previous question, I got into the online **** thing when i was 18, made a bunch and invested in real estate, but even still its hard for me to justify spending a 100k on a depreciating asset like a car. Besides I need to have soemthing to look forward to by the time im 35, at this rate i will have to go italian in a few years.

Creative suggestion however I am only keeping this car for a year and a half until i pick up my new m3. I gotta have one before bmw goes completley down the crap shoot. Also will look at the c63 and clk63 and go knows what else will be aroud in a year. All i know, the trend lately is cars are getting faster and faster for cheaper.

i choose a clk55 over an e55
b/c there are so many more e55 and i prefer naturally aspirated cars and "regular" suspension not air sus.

i would go with a clk b/c the body style is much nicer and it actually looks like its worth 70g's

the performance is practically the same, the clk has bigger brakes and quad exhaust

the biggest thing is price and looks otherwise its the same car

RawAMGpower , let's do some good discussions as C32/55 forum is getting quiet these days.Yes Ardy is sooooo lucky to move from C32toSLK55 and he must be flying now.I saw a silver SLK55 2 days ago parking in the street. It looks real sexy and I must say it does not look like a normal SLK at all. And very few people here has it. I am pretty tempted to move to SLK55 and forget about C63/M3E90 except it will be a fortune to lose on the C55 resale. and, here in HK, most ppl buy Porsche which stands at good resale and I can't imagine how bad SLK55 's depreciation will be. Besides, I am loving my C55 as day goes by since there is zero problem now and with that MB55 registration mark; I am receiving some attentions and challenges.
Incidentally, I noticed that you have a more powerful X5 coming, how would that happen ?

Well, my lease on the 4.4 ends this Feb, so I figure I'd upgrade to the 4.8. It comes almost fully load as standard so if you add all the options to the 4.4 its only like a $8K difference, plus you get 40 more hp and 20 inch wheels. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to lease or buy it.

I've already heard from friends that I should get the upcoming ML63 or the Cayenne Turbo and I did look at the turbo but the price for it the way I like it is over a 110K and I just don't want to spend that much for it. I believe the ML63 will be a 100 Plus too.

Pretty tempting for being the first trying the first new 6.3 32 valve engine, that must be a new experience to jump to ML63 from a X5 4.4. But that 8K for a huge X5 upgrade seems to be pretty tempting.

Yeah 80-85 base! I don't buy base. Fully optioned out it will be a 100 I bet if not more. The 4.8 is fully loaded every option for $78K. Beside if I get the ML63 I'll have to sell or supercharge my C55 because I won't be able to live with owning a SUV that's faster then my car. It will make me sick I'll feel what's the point of owning or even driving the C55. Even though I did really just buy the C55 as a hold me over until the 63's all come out, but to get a ML as my first 63...Uh I don't know! I've just been thinking my first 63 will either be a C or an E. But hey I have until February. If I see some pricing on the ML63 by then I might give it some thought. Also I'll want to see what lease rates on it would be.

True. Your X5 makes a lot of sense already.

While my money is tight, tax is high, fuel is costly; I would put the money to gain more speed than for lifting up the weight of a SUV. I wish the rumour about a CLS version ( 4 door coupe ) of the 2007 C-Class is true.

Yea, the X5 4.8is is very nice, but go drive the Cayenne turbo and maybe you can justify the extra expense...somehow I did :v Plus, Porsche does offer good discounts on the turbo if you look around.

Personally I don't see myself ever buying an ML or R class made stateside- based on my bad experiences I still am suspect when it comes to quality control. Our last ML was a pain in the ****...

yes the current ml is a real pain the ***, my dad's got a '02 ml 55. the things that go wrong with that car are unbelievable. for example, the plastic piece on the side of the seat (with the seat control buttons) keeps coming loose b/c when you get in and out u put pressure on it. the plastic surrounding the screw breaks off.... i finally said **** it and put like 3 or 4 washers in there to elevate the srew to the stronger part of the plastic... simple, i dunno why mercedes-benz engineers couldnt think of that.

but the new ml is on par with the cls and new s class in quality and materials finish. i read alot of european magasines and they say that its best of class in every category except drving fun.. the x5 they say is better.
but thats a six cylinder.
the 63 is newer than the 4.8 and is on another planet in terms of overall performance and luxury

Pretty sad to hear so many distressful quality issues of every model of the best brand of car in the world. I hope the new ML, R- S-Class will prove a big improvement is there. And wish we can all upgrade to a proper MB in 3 yrs time.
