Hey guys,

I just picked up an 02 C32 the other day and have noticed the infamous jerking motion while driving and also the "tire noise" coming from the rear.

I did some searching and discovered that the jerking has to do with the torque converter and the tire noise with the drive shaft. Is there anything else that could be causing my problems and are these constant problems or are they fixable.

I picked up a certified preowned C32 a few months ago. I have had the "jerky" transmission, but I usually only notice from like 1-2 or 2-3 when I am slowing down and then push back on the gas pedal (like going around a corner etc..). I think its just the transmissions "quick-shift" programming. When I had my lightning and added a chip to it (it reprogrammed the shift patterns also), it wouldnt shift as bad as the C32 but the transmission acted a little like the C32 does... I am interested to hear what others know on this as well for the C32..

it is a well know problem not only in C32's other MB products...

take it to a dealership and have them test drive it. It was not until the 2nd dealership that actually installed a new tranny and ECU.

They tried just a new ECU and did not work...

do it asap before warranty runs out..
