Changing Engine Oil

Maybe '04s are different, but in my car the interval does not automatically reset when I have the oil changed. To reset the interval the service tech goes to my display and pages down to Service and presses the Reset button. That automatically resets the interval to 10k. When it gets to "5000 until next service" I take it in and have the oil changed. The dealer said, though not necessary, it is always a good idea to change oil @ 5k intervals. My engine is a 113 and is the first to use the high tech Mobile 1 oil.

I think on the C55 they recommend a service every 13K.....but I don't know of many that wait that long. I'll definately do my first A before 10K.
