Any further news on this ?

As I love my C55 more and more, likely I will pass the idea of a CaymanS and SLK55; then I am giving a 4-year plan to keep my C55. Hopefully the value will still be half left. This thinking is only to hold if this mistery of CLE does not come into reality as it is very tempting about a 4-door (suicide back doors) and a compact C sedan that look like a sexy CLS !

I created a thread a while back about a C-class based coupe, the CLE! It was originally as you said a 4-door(implemented suicide doors) coupe using the all new CLK roof and body, but I discovered from another forum member that the project was cancelled in order to have total focus on the new W204 C-class and current line-up. As far as I know the only "new" MB vehicle to come out in the next couple years is a compact SUV to compete with the BMW X3. I know it's very unfortunate about the CLE because that was the car I was anticipating to buy!!! Hopfully if things work out for MB the project will be reinstated, but for now it is no more!!!
