My C32 Vs VF Supercharged R32
So i get a call a few weeks ago from my buddy who has a W210 E55 (E55jlp) about some guy with a Supercharged Volkswagen R32 wanting to race. Unfortunately my car was getting new motor mounts at the stealership at that time so the race was postponed.
I did my research anyways... http://www.giacusa.com/giac_projects.php?pid=11 .... the Stage II VF Engineering supercharged VW R32 claims 350hp and 340lb ft. I did further research and found that they dyno about ~295HP to the wheels...considering the car is AWD, it should dead hook and put down all of those horsies down to the pavement.
Last night the race was finally set up...kinda like a last minute thing. I met up with the owner of the R32 and it turns out I went to middle school with him many moons ago. My buddy with the boxter and the R32 owner's brother with the mustang all met up with us as well. We spoke for a while, turns out his R32 did in fact have a VF Engineering Stage II supercharger kit with tuning. Dyno numbers he claimed confirmed with what I researched before and there are claims of stage II VF R32s running 12.9 @ 108mph. When I had a boost leak and crappy camber, I ran .2 seconds faster at the same trap
and Ive ran the same ET with 3mph faster trap. Enough with the talking, we head to a safe and secured spot to race.... of course, from a dig.
We line up... 3 honks.... the R32 dead hooks and lunges forward, I spin all of first gear (didnt bother lowering my tire pressure), I hook in 2nd gear and pull hard.... by the end of 2nd gear I have about 5 to 6 cars on the R32, I go into 3rd, let off by the middle of 3rd and already have several bus lengths on the supercharged R32.

Nice work! A friend of mine has the R32, though it has the stock V6 engine. I drive a 6spd 05 C230 1.8 SC and we have raced the 1/4 a couple of times. In our situation, the cars seem to be about equal
