Yup it's easy. When you open your trunk, you can see that the tail lights are covered by a fabric trunk liner, and the fabric is held by a plastic molding that spans along the width of your trunk. So, you have to take the plastic molding off, by removing the rectangle push pins first. Just pry them out gently with a flathead. There are around 8-10 of them. Once you take the plastic molding off, you can easily move the fabric out of the way to reach the tail lights. There are 4 screws that hold each tail light and by trying you’ll know which screw to fasten first to get the best fitting. I did it in an hour just because I didn’t know where to start. If I had to do it again, I could probably realistically do it in 30 mins.
PS: just like any other push pins, these ones have 2 parts.
The first part is the rectangle pin that you'd pry out with a flathead, and the second one is the "housing" that just sits below the pin. Make sure you get both parts removed.
